<p>Maybe you, or the equipment repair person can replace the internal insulation. I truthfully don't know what there would be any health risks if you can stand the smell. The febreeze method is the only thing I've heard of (besides switching out the internal insulation) to reduce the odor of smoke. Perhaps check the store shelves for a green, non toxic substitute to febreeze.</p>
