If this is the stand that you are gonna take Banyon at least go all the way with it. Original AHI severity,  arousal Index, leg movement index, underlying health issues and sleep environment should not be left out. All are needed to truly evaluate Tom's sleep and the effectiveness of his therapy. Even further: What is his nightly routine? Does he watch tv, read, or conduct buisiness prior to sleep? Does he have pets, or kids that interrrupt his nightly rest?

 

I believe that everyone should have access to the data in question. It however is only a small step in truely getting back to good sleep. I see great efficacy data all of the time from people who don't sleep well. True good sleep comes from changing habits not data. I am a Sleep Technologist! Continue your search of the Apnea Tech as I am sure you will find the limited help that you require Banyon.

They may be good enough for a sleep professional but not good enough for the patient. LOL.

Another example for you: The night showing AHI of 9.4. If he slept 7 hours that means he had about 65 events. What if all 65 of those events happened in a one hour period? That kind of therapy is totally unacceptable to me.

What if the 65 events were well distributed over the night but many of them were 90 seconds or longer? That is horrible therapy.

Repeating my point, you cannot accurately judge the effectiveness of Tom's therapy by summary data.

The detail software report gives you more critical information that can many times be used to make large improvements in one's therapy and consequently quality of life.

Tom, I suspect they are related somehow, too.  I mean if your leakage is bad how can be AHI be

correct?  I don't know this for a fact though.  None of your leakage seemed to correspond to the nights with the higher AHI

Yes, there is a check for ResMed 3.14 on the VPAP S

I have a VPAP S and the Rescan software I have doesn't give me the granularity you speak of; I wish it did.

 

Find the exact model of machine in the table in the link below and see if there is a check mark in the column ResScan Version 3.14. Let me know your findings.
