Do you use a chin strap? If you're a mouth breather, you may need a chin strap so that your mouth stays closed. It's important to keep it closed throughout the night for a lot of reasons -- mouth, dental, etc., etc.

In recent months, I have developed extreme dry mouth as a result of the CPAP. I am a mouth breather when using CPAP.Recently, I saw an advertisement for the symptoms of dry mouth, but as usual, when I need the information to have a discussion with both my primary care physician and my dentist I haven't seen the ad. Has anyone else seen the ad and can anyone remember the info in the ad?Thanks in advance,DanSee More
I'm back! Currently working as an EEG tech. Don't miss working the overnights but miss everything about sleep. Especially educating patients. I still get phone calls at work giving advice to patients needing a sleep test (my company has sleeplabs too).
Thanks for the comment on my girls. I do make em beautiful.
After my micro-management fiasco at the hospital based lab I decided to go rogue. I ended up doing a contract with a traveling company in Pueblo Co. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! The majority of labs that are willing to pay an employment company $100-150 an hour have issues. It did lead me to my current lab. I have been here about 6 weeks but I think I am going to like it. I have not seen my boss since the interview. Good stuff!
Hey Jackie! things are good. I recently took a job in Denver. It has been a tough move. How are you? Kids? Are you planning on attending any sleep conferences this year? I would love to meet you in person. I am going to do the colorado, Indiana, and hopefully the national convention.
Jackie, can you make it to the AWAKE meeting I run this Wednesday? I'd love to meet you face-to-face and Dr. David Rapoport, head of NYU's Sleep Center, will be speaker at the event.... should be a terrific presentation.
Here you will find caring patients and professionals that care about your health. Sleep apnea can be deadly and with the help and support of this group, I have been able to be 100% compliant and improve my health.
Please feel free to join in the discussions, add a discussion, or just lurk. We are glad you are here
