About me

I'm a homeschool mom from northern Virginia with degrees in math & computer science.

I've went on cpap in September 1997 and then shifted to an auto-adjusting cpap a couple years later as the cpap was not adequate. Unfortunately, even the auto-adjusting cpap was not adequate either, and while sleeping without it is a disaster, I remain tired. I am looking for a new auto-adjusting cpap that will hopefully be smart enough to at least see more of the sleep breathing problems I have.

I am grateful to be a Christian because it helps to know that God loves me, even when I don't seem able to keep up with what I want and need to do. My favorite verse is :
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- Philippians 4:6-7
It helps me to know that God cares and wants me to talk to Him about everything, including my cpap frustrations -- and the frustrations of still being tired. It also means that peace is a gift, not something I need to work up.

We should suggest that to the manufacturers- an "I need more air" button. Glad to be friends.  Thanks

liz4cps,  I saw your comment about not getting enough air.  If you would post it as a discussion perhaps we can give you some ideas.  We would need to know your pressure.  If you are on an APAP perhaps your lower number needs to be raised a bit.

Mary Z.

PS: Or I could cut and paste it as a discussion for you.
