John, sorry you got a noisy machine, I've had three ResMeds and been satisfied with the noise level on all of them, though this last one is the loudest as it is the most powerful. I've had some masks that are really noisy, though. Good luck with it, hang in there. If you post this as a new discussion folks may have some ideas on how to lowere the noise level. One that comes to mind is having the machine lower than the bed.
