My DME called to say my Wisp had arrived.  Within 15 minutes I was back home with it.  It says to wash before use, so don't know if will be dry enough to try tonight.  But handling it and looking at it it looks like maybe be comfortable.   I hope so.  Updates after I use.

I meant to report back here when I'd trialled the Wisp when it eventually arrived in the UK.  Well, I trialled it for several nights and I absol utely loved it.  I really do think Respironics have a real winner here :)  We have sold lots of them now, and up to now everyone is pleased with it.  My own problem is that I can't use it longterm because I cannot use a chin strap due to my receding jaw.  I've tried lots of different chin straps, but as soon as my jaw slips back then the lips part and air escapes.  The chin straps work great for so many people - just not me :(  However, I have a new sleep specialist now and he wants me to try a mandibular device with my CPAP for 2 reasons - firstly to try to keep my jaw forwards so I can use chin straps, and secondly to try to bring my high CPAP pressures down.  Am just hoping this works and then I can use the Wisp.

I used my one time, in the first month of a new mask/pillows, get something else card to get a Wisp and I must say Wow I got a Wisp, I got a Wisp, I got a Wisp while doing a Happy Dance/Limp.

It is so much better than the Eson that I can not even believe it. I finally got the RemZzzs samples for the Eson I might try it again sometime.

Yes, I'm still using my wisp and liking it- sometimes I have a chin strap malfunction, but usually it's fine.  A great little mask at a good price.

Hifay, why are you limping?- if you mentioned it before I forgot.

I have gone off the Wisp.  After a brilliant start it started to leak badly.  I don't know when I last changed the cushion, but probably need a new one.  I have ordered ResMed's copy cat- the Nano- it looks just like the Wisp.  I have been using another mask- a ResMed nasal mask which seems to work well.  MY leak numbers are still out of whack.  I'd forgotten how frustrating that is.

Hi, Mary, sorry to hear that the Wisp isn't working.  I have found that the cushions sure don't last & by the time new ones arrive the leaking is bad.  I have to wash more frequently & be sure they adhere well.

I think you're right.  The cushions seem to last about three weeks and collapse and leak.  I'll report back on the ResMed Nano.  I should be here this week.

I am able to use mine for a month.  My insurance will pay for two a month.   But I am waiting for my nano to arrive too!!!

I tried the large Wisp cushion last night and my S/M had collapsed.  It leaked terribly.  I hope the Nano will work for me.  I get one mask every three months and am due for a new one the beginning of October.  I've got three or four masks around here and only one is working and the leaks are too bad on that one.  I haven't had this problem in a long time.  The Wisp is still my dream mask if I keep fresh cushions on hand and change them out as it begins to fail.

The Wisp seemed "perfect" (as perfect as a mask can be...) at first.  But now between the headgear and the cervical neck collar my neck is just killing me.  My Nano should be here tomorrow.  I bought it out of pocket from CPAP.com so if not good can send back and only pay shipping cost.  Still have my appointment on 10/14 with the physician in Statesboro GA for ?? surgery next day. It really seems like I go through spells when the CPAP drives me NUTS and then have a few days when it is not so bad.  Crazy!!!

Sorry to hear you both have had difficulty with the Wisp.  I would say I've been more successful than the full mask from Res Med.  As long as I only use cushion no more than twice between washing & change regularily.  Can't wait to hear about the Nano.
