My DME called to say my Wisp had arrived.  Within 15 minutes I was back home with it.  It says to wash before use, so don't know if will be dry enough to try tonight.  But handling it and looking at it it looks like maybe be comfortable.   I hope so.  Updates after I use.

Looking forward to your review, Ginny

Seems to work great!  Put it on and no need for hours of adjusting.  Comfortable.  Not aware of any leaks.  AHI same as has been last few days (it has been up to 2 for reason unknown) . Very easy to put on~straightforward.  Comfortable headgear with no pain anywhere which is not always the case.  Interesting note.. first mask I have had that was made in China!    Felt great not having something "up my nose" yet not all over my face.   I think it is the best one yet!

We all love to read a good review of an alternative mask for ourselves, so thanks for posting. After that stressful fall, your AHI should decline again. Interesting how stress takes a while to process, and can be reflected in our sleep patterns.

I guess it could be that. I really, really am impressed with the mask. Even the headgear was simple and fast to fit. Like putting a pair of socks on!!!   :) Be interesting to see how durable it is. I see replacement seal on one website is $45. I have a call in to my DME to see if they will be covered twice a month by my insurance as my pillows were for the Pilairo. I don't like not having a spare.  Also, I am not sure who could wear the Petite size.  My face is very small and there is no way it would work.  I am using the small/medium size.

A teacher friend of mine has noted so many of the kids with behavioral issues i.e. ADD, are being diagnosed with OSA at the nearby Stanford clinic. So I'm thinking the Petite is mostly for them.

Yes, I would think it would be perfect for kids. I think more of "us" have OSA then ones who don't......it is sounding like that.

Ginny, thanks for the review of the Wisp.  It will be good to hear how it works for you in the coming days.

Mary

Yes, I'm looking forward to hearing how you get on longterm Ginny.  We're expecting this in the UK in a few months and I'm hoping it will help people who have problems with the nose-bridge :)  I thought you were a full face mask user Ginny - have you managed to convert to nasal masks now?  If so that's good - as (like Dr Park's says) it's better to encourage nasal breathing if possible!

Ginny, I haven't been on much, but had to Google Wisp as soon as I saw your post. How exciting! Can't wait to hear more. I've been putting off ordering new mask parts as I'm so frustrated and ready to try something. Will give my DME a call as soon as you've given it some time.

I still like it..of course not every night is perfect!  But it's the best I have used so far.

Ginny, Do you still wear your collar with the Wisp? Happy to hear you've recovered from such a dreadful fall and like the new mask. Katie (still wearing the 2 1/2 inch collar, the 3" was too big)

yes I do.  I may try to find a 2 1/2" one though to see if I like it better.  Always something new to try!!!
