A healthy social life is just as important to good health as anything else. I would like to know what everyone does for fun.

I like to split what I like to do into two categories, personal and professional. On a personal level I really like taking excursions with my English Bulldog and recently wedded wife. When I'm not doing that I play sports and stay active physically playing an array of sports and exercise activities. On the professional level I really like building relationships, and servicing the public. Its all to often that the public is taken advantage of and left feeling alone with few resources to help guide the way

Well, I like to do things with the family (especially the grands). The babies are all growing so fast. It is hard to believe that my second oldest granddaughter had a birthday last weekend and is 14 years old. The three babies will soon be having birthdays. Love snuggling, telling stories, helping them learn, and being there for them.

I love to read non-fiction books. The Civil War intrigues me and so read on it. True crime is up there. I love reading about it and then researching to see how well the book portrays reality. I wonder what makes people "tick" and why some are so truly evil.

I am new to geneaology. I have researched my family and discovered that Dale Earnhardt is a distant cousin (this has been checked out), I qualify for Daughter's of the American Revolution (thanks to a cousin the documentation is all done there), and other interesting tidbits about the family.

I love being in the pool, although I sink like a rock (literally can not float as I panic when my feet leave the bottom of the pool).

To all the talented people on this forum, I so admire you!!! I don't have a creative bone in me and am destined to never create anything to brag about.
Fun?? It's been a long, long time...
I enjoy diving and staying active. Now that I don't fall asleep at red lights my Lotus is a gas to drive.

Matt, do you feel comfortable in talking about what function you do have in your arms? Able to take care of the CPAP, or have someone to help you.
I hope if you're not having fun, your at least not lonely.

Mary, thanks for asking... I can move my arms but not my hands or fingers - classic C 5/6 complete spinal cord injury. Not lonely, got my dog. Not able to put the mask on myself(tons of tape, see attached pic), able to rip it off when it's no use trying to sleep anymore. Nothing new, just in a funk, and the future aint looking too bright. Well let's see if I can get a nap this morn(sans PAP). Hope you all have a great day.

That's a beauty, Jeff, I never even saw one of those in real life. Spent plenty of time driving and working with one of these, though... them were the days, fun. (that's a 1790 cubic inch air-cooled V-12 continental supercharged gas engine hanging)

Fun...well with a husband, 4 year old, full time job, full time grad school and pg with twins I don't have a lot of fun time. But when I do I love to read, usually fantasy stuff, and play computer games. I used to love playing Everquest2, but haven't been able to devote any time to gaming for years now. But I'm finishing gradschool in August and then I'll finally be free evenings and weekends! Well, as free as a mom of 3 can be!

Antiquing, (collect dishes, old post cards & whatever I find that I like), walking, reading, exercise.  Investigating any new CPAP masks!    :)  Volunteer once a week by delivering Meals on Wheels.  Still work (RN) one day a week~on Monday so I have the remainder of the week off!
I am afraid to do that.  Naps are no longer fun.....    :(
