URGENT — Do You Want To Be Featured In A Major Women's Magazine?

A reporter from a major glossy national magazine asked if I can help her find a woman in her 30s to 50s, married/kids/working mom type, who didn't know why she was feeling so tired, was misdiagnosed and probably given anti-depressants along the way and who finally discovered the culprit was OSA.

If you fit this profile and are interested, please message me through this forum or email me at sypark@mac.com. By the way, they also want a picture. She's on a tight deadline, so you'll have to respond by Friday, 10/9.

That's me. I am 46 years old. Marred. 3 kids. The anti-depressant made me gain weight which probably made my symptoms worse which in the end resulted in me begging for a referral to a sleep doc. Result was UARS with excellent outcome with MAD.
SaraLynn,

I sent you an invite to be my friend, along with the reporter's email address.

Hello Dr. Park,
I was originally diagnosed with depression. It took several years before my snoring and Apnea got so bad that my doctor decided to have me tested for Sleep Apnea. I am 53 years old, retired but work part-time and am married with 4 kids. I would love to talk to this reporter.
During my "Mom, Married, Working" phase of life, I tried for ten years to get someone to believe that my exhaustion was not depression, and that medications were not the answer. I would hope that my story would help one other woman ask the correct questions of her medical professional to find the path that led me to health and wellness. My story has helped family members and dear friends find their answers. No one should have to suffer in silence as long as I did, while leading a productive career and lifestyle. How I managed is beyond comprehension, but the outcome is wonderful!
I'm out of that age range as I am 67 now but after more than a year of extreme depression I was referred to a sleep apnea specialist who never tested me or anything, just said you're depressed, go to a psychiatrist.
Thanks for everyone's responses. The reporter just told me that she's been given a new assignment, and will get back to this one at a later time.
