Tired of getting the run around on how to properly fit and adjust your nasl mask or adjust the proper humidity, c-flex settin ect.

.

Hi fellow pap users I would like your input on this project that I have put together and please speak freely.

Would a DVD that covers the type of units and nasal interface you use be helpful ,this DVD would take you through the following?

MASK , Step by step instruction on the following

  1. Proper fitting
  2. Proper adjusting , what types of problem that is associated with that nasal interface
  3.  How to fix them THE PROBLEMS
  4. How describe the problem to you DME company
  5. Cleaning
  6. How to select the proper mask for you.

Cpap,Bipap, VPAP Adapt SV Units

  1. How would you like to know all the adjustments of your unit?
  2. How to adjust them for your comfort.
  3. Proper cleaning.

Desensitizing

  1. To have a successful program to help you use the unit all night.

I have 100 patients that I take care of and also been setting up units for the last 12 yrs  for other co. the program that I am working on is proven on my patients which the compliance is 95%

Would this be something that pap users would buy for under $20.00???

Hi Mike, Sounds like something that should be run for every new "pap" er and at awake meetings It would have helped me right from the start. Diabetics have a class why not "pap" too? Good Sleep,Chris
You are so right,  Thanks Chris

Hi Mike,  You have a very good understanding of our malady. Education ,information ,demonstration

hand hold , what ever it takes to get people to participate in their treatment would be good. Pictures, panphlits, power point ,pencle point ,prime time tv GO Mike GO! EVERYBODY should be instructed .It is not comedy its Life and Breath !!!! Good Sleep,Chris

Sure would have and probably still would help me.  You are pretty much on your own out there!!!

Yep. The more I need to use DME and a DME provider the more frustrated I get that there isn't some "store" somewhere that I can walk into and "shop" thru the various merchandise to choose the equipment and accessories "I" want (w/in the scope of my script, of course). For crying out loud they have car show rooms and department stores ... why can't I easily shop for the brand and model CPAP I'd like and prefer?

And mask fitting tips are always welcome and of interest.

AND since I am stuck w/slow speed dial up a CD would be so much more appreciated than a video!!!!

I also see a need for this.

But, the real Question is would anybody "pay" for it?

I think a lot of that information is covered in the videos over at sleepnation.com

Hey, if sleepnation would offer their videos on the various CPAP machines I would buy them. $5 per CD or if several on one CD less than $20. At this stage of the game I "probably" wouldn't buy one of their videos on a mask if put on a CD. Not that I think I know it all about masks and mask fitting but because I've found a satisfactory mask.

As I said, I am stuck w/slow speed dial up. PLUS lots of information on the web and websites tend to disappear w/time. If it is information I really want to keep on hand I want it on "hardcopy" not the internet.
