I am a 100% compliant CPAP user (Resmed Autoset 8 and Mirage nasal mask) but while I get some benefit from the CPAP (hopeless without it) I don't get up feeling truly rested.

I used a cheap digital recorder (Olympus LS-10) to record my overnight behaviour and nothing! Not a peep.

If I was mouth breathing or the mask wasn't working I would have anticipated a snort or two; but nothing.

This is strange isn't it? (And the recorder is definitely working; I do deliberate coughing before I go to sleep and if I wake up to provide aural "markers").

Any one have any views/comments on this?

How are your numbers- leak, AHI, and AI?
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. This is the UK; we just do what the doctors tell us. We don't know anything or get told anything (we don't ask typically either).

I just assume that if the CPAP isn't working then I will be having apneas and that will make me generate noises. But I don't hear anything which I just don't understand. If I am sleeping without disturbance I should be OK in the mornings shouldn't I?

It's a puzzle.
BY pushing down the left and right arrow buttons at the same time you'll generate a menu, scroll down to efficacy and from there you use the down arrow to check leak, tidal volume, minute volume, respiratory rate, AHI, and AI. the AHI should be under five if your treatment is sufficient.
