Hi, my name is Luis. After reading a few things on the discussion I decided to join. I live in Littleton Colorado. I was diagnosed with OSA about 5 months ago. I am using a ResMed bipap because I'm blowing a 22! I use a full face mask and because of the pressure I have to strap that baby on tight. But here is my question: I've been having bad headaches with a "tight" pressure about the lower part on my neck. I also get lightheaded, all of which can last off and on during the day. I have had an EKG, stress test. All have check out normal as well as my blood pressure. Has anyone out there experienced this?  Thank you for listing, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Which doc are you seeing? I live in Golden, work out of Thornton and Aurora. 22cm is a high pressure.

Luis, I have read that in certain people BPAP (any 'PAP) can mess with the sinuses and ears, causing daytime dizziness.  The way you have to strap your mask on tightly may be causing your headaches.  I know that is a high pressure and it's difficult to find a mask that works.  You may need to find a different mask with a different strap configuration- if the strap is too tight on  your neck.

Good luck.

Hi RockRpsgt. Thank you for your reply. The doctors I WAS seeing was at Senior Care Colorado. I am now looking at seeing another doctor. I don't think the doctors at Senior Care knew enough about OSA. However, the more I use my new Bi level unit the more the symtoms seem to be going away. I still have them, but not nearly as bad. I do have hope that soon they will go away.

Again, thanks for the reply.

I work for Alpha Sleep Diagnostics. We have 4 labs in Aurora, Thornton, Lonetree, and Lakewood. I work Under Dr. Richard O'Brien. My doc knows his stuff. If you are looking for a new lab/tech/doc I would love to help.

You know, I think I would. It seems that there are not many doctors that have much back ground in OSA. If you would please give me your doctors office number, I would like to contact him. I do have some questions, one being insurance. I thank you very much for your help.
