You don't suck!  Every person is a little different and it takes a little different approach to get there!  My husband is very overweight, does NO exercise, uses his CPAP faithfully, and his numbers stay stable because of his meds.  He's very consistent about taking his meds, and I don't let him eat too crazy, just too much I guess!  So it's all in the choices.   We each have to decide how much we are willing to do, to take ownership of, it's your life, live it as you choose, just know your decisions guide your path!  I have days where I do NOTHING but sit on my butt, and I have many others where I choose to do something, own my life, and those are great days!

GM, are you working out consistently?  That's been the key to everything for me - I walk a minimum of 3 miles a day, but shoot for 5, I lift weights and do Zumba in the mornings.  Otherwise, my numbers SUCK and I don't see the benefits.  I lost 42lbs last year, still working on 80 more, but now I can't lose a single pound to save my life, HOWEVER, if I keep exercising, the numbers stay good.

I suck! My BP has gone UP and I am 100% compliant. I might miss maybe 1 day a month of CPAP. Everytime I go to doctor now I feel my heart race cause they always want to change or add some meds, I feel like just running away seriously.

Waa Waa

On the subject of having to get up and pee often before c-pap. That is not so common. I had that issue as well and my best friend who is also on c-pap had that too. Without c-pap, your body is on the spin cycle and so are your kidneys.

Mine has stayed the same since I started using CPAP. With medication Lisinopril 20mg/day it stays within a normal range. Was taking RX before and haven't noticed any change. Actually haven't had too much change in "stuff" since using CPAP except not as tired during the day...unless I don't get a long enough sleep at night. And strangely enough...I don't have to get up and "pee" at all during the night. Was having to 2 to 3 times before. Doctors think this is strange...but good. Haven't lost any weight (actually gained a few pounds) bummer. Do sleep better with the CPAP and partner is thrilled. I don't snore or "fidget" anymore. Put it on and just ZZZZ-out for the night; except for the times it leaks but that is quickly fixed by adjusting the mask. If I remove it for a while she tells me that the sleep apnea, snoring and fidgeting comes back right away.

That's one of the symptoms that led me to being "sleep tested".  No exaggeration, every hour, every single night.

I read online that it can definitely be related to sleep apnea, miscommunication to the brain of some type of hormonal imbalance due to the sleep apnea, if I remember.

Since the first night of using my sleep machine back in September, I have not been up even once!

It's amazing what can be due to sleep apnea!
