Just got the results of my sleep study and my oxygen desaturation levels during sleep don't seem much different than my oxygen desaturation levels while awake. i have a deviated septum, which is probably causing whatever obstructions i have. But my question is if my oxygen levels aren't much lower during sleep than while awake, should i even bother with CPAP, or am i better off with nose surgery?

Instead of wading through all the post -- please post more information as we may not remember all the details.

I had a deviated septum and had it fixed in 1990. I had tons of problems and what was supposed to be outpatient surgery ended up with a few days stay in the hospital. Would not want to do that again. Today the surgery has been refined and isn't as traumatic from what I have read, but don't have any personal experience with today's methods. Many that have it done are really glad they did.
