The news of the day in New York City says no toilets will be installed at the new 9/11 WTC memorial site, to be opened in September. The article says this omission is intentional.
I would think this goes against building codes! Not smart planning by designers, civic planners, etc. I bet they'll end up putting some portable units up at some point, which will detract from aesthetics of the design, but this IS for humans, and humans do have biological needs! I don't think it's fair to surrounding businesses to have to accommodate the crowds' needs entirely. Be forewarned if you go!
