Hi to all,

I often read the threads on sleep guide, but rarely comment, or post.   I am having a problem with an M series BiPap, which perhaps someone can help me with.

My machine is a refurbished M Series from Respironics..   A month ago, my machine stopped working.  All the lights were flashing, and when the therapist came, at first he thought it was the power supply, replaced the cord, then removed the card for data capability.  Finally they ended up replacing the entire machine because it was the humidifier problem.

So now for about a month I have had a loner.  I have noticed that my sleep patterns are irregular, and low and behold last night, the lights on my loaner machine are now all blinking, which means I am having the SAME problem with a new version of this M series.

I am NOT a happy camper right now.  As I feel like I have been given another lemon to replace the lemon that is being repaired.

Unfortunately I am a Medicare patient.   For those of you not on Medicare, I will enlighten you.  Medicare only pays for a new machine every 5 years.  Unless of course your physician deems it necessary to have a new one ordered.

So can someone tell me what I can legally do about this problem, as I am fed up with a company that would sell defective units.    I may qualify for a lawsuit.

Thanks to all,  Kathleen Rentel

the therapist made a disision to change the machine for a loner not you
second the product does not do what is says on the tin as it is a lemon and is not fit for purpose

check the voltage of your premises are constant and reliable at point of use EG the power point you use is not defective and the supplier does not fluctuate the voltage to much

ask around for others suggestions

ask the supplier do you have many like this, they will probable say no but record and date that and the person whom you spoke to
Actually I have just found a website stating that there are multiple problems with this unit. AND several class action law suits.

Thank you for your comment, however.
