Sandra, I have tried them and didn't think they helped. When the leak rate didn't go down after 5 days I stopped using them. They are comfortable and if they're still offering the sample pack you may want to try them.
Some people seem to like them but I did not. I guess it stopped big leaks but, to me, it felt like a little leak all around the mask all the time and the coldness that this created at the edge of the mask drove me nuts! I switched to the smallest mask size of the mirage quattro ff and got a new auto bi pap. My leaks have been zero on most nights. Good luck!
Sandra, I have a lot of problems with masks leaking because I have a small nose and find it difficult to get a mask that fits. I tried them and found that one didn't work but if I use several, it stops the leaks. I agree they can be made easily yourself, so just get the samples and then make your own.
