At the dentist yesterday besides discussing my sinus issues he found two cracked teeth and a buckled filling .I know when I was switching masks I had some bad nights but here is more proof that cpap when dialed in well works but when not the comorbidities bite back! How many others have bruxism?

I know I grind my teeth when I am having trouble with a mask. Have woke up with blood in my mouth and aching jaws. I tried a teeth guard and it seemed to help. It was a cheap fix, you can get a couple at the pharmacy for around $20.00
Hi Sheryl, I had a night guard made by my old dentist .It fit poorly and looking back probabbly made breathing worse by causing my jaw to move back instead of forward. I have seen the boil and bite guards at the pharmacy . I will see what my new dentist has to say.Its getting expencive to have a bad night. Good Sleep, Chris
The boil and bite type doesn't position the jaw any different, but they do keep you from damaging your teeth, and they are pretty comfortable since you mold them to fit. When I am using a mask that doesn't work for me,it seems I can't keep my mouth closed, and when that happens I grind my teeth.I wonder if we natually clench when we are fighting to breath. Do you know? I have had to resort to a mask that doesn't fit me as well as the dream weaver because I can't stand any straps across my jaws right now. So last night I had problem with grinding my teeth.I will have to go back to using a guard for now. Hope you can find something that is comfortable and fits
Good Sleep Chris,
Sheryl
